Chartered Engineer – Building Inspections

Location: London
Contract: 3 Months (Maximum)
Start Date: Immediate
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2/3 days in the office
Rate: Competitive / DOE

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Chartered Engineer for an immediate-start, 3-month contract opportunity with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

This role would suit a hands-on engineer with strong experience in building inspections, structural assessments and the preparation of detailed technical and safety reports.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, carrying out building inspections and producing clear, comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections and assessments of buildings.

• Preparing detailed building inspection reports.

• Producing building safety reports and technical documentation.

• Identifying and reporting on structural or building-related defects and concerns.

• Using Bluebeam to review, annotate and manage technical documentation.

• Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team.

Essential Requirements

• Fully Chartered Engineer status.

• Proven experience in building inspections and assessments.

• Strong experience writing inspection and building safety reports.

• Previous experience using Bluebeam.

• Excellent technical report-writing and communication skills.

• Ability to start immediately.

Contract Details

• Initial contract duration of up to 3 months.

• Immediate start required.

• Hybrid working arrangement, with 2–3 days per week in the office.
