We are currently working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a major project in Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Site Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a high-quality project, working alongside an experienced project team and senior management.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, to a high standard and in line with the agreed commercial objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating the site team, subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the project.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme and construction drawings.
• Managing site activities to ensure quality, health & safety and environmental standards are maintained.
• Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are sequenced effectively.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and wider project team.
• Monitoring progress and identifying potential programme issues before they arise.
• Leading regular site meetings and coordination meetings.
• Ensuring all relevant documentation, inspections and records are maintained.
• Managing quality assurance and ensuring works are completed to the required specification.
• Supporting the project team with programme planning, logistics and delivery.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Providing leadership and guidance to Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and other members of the site team.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background working for a main contractor and a proven track record of delivering projects successfully.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience in a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager position.
• A strong main contracting background.
• Experience managing complex construction projects from site start through to completion.
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and site logistics.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
