Multi Trader – Reactive Maintenance (Social Housing)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi Trader to join our growing reactive maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services within occupied social housing properties.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll carry out a wide range of day-to-day repairs while providing excellent service to tenants. The ideal candidate will be skilled across multiple trades, able to work independently, and committed to completing jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repair works in occupied social housing properties.
• Complete a variety of repairs including:
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Patch Plastering
  • Tiling
  • Painting & Decorating
  • General Maintenance
• Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records using handheld devices or job management systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants and clients.
• Manage your workload efficiently to meet appointments and service level agreements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi Trader within reactive maintenance, repairs, or social housing.
• Strong skills with experience across a range of general building trades.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications.
• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height training (preferred but not essential).
