Mechanical Construction Manager | £600 Million Development in London Salary: Up to £85,000 + Competitive Package Location: Central London (Salisbury Square) Are you a leadership-driven mechanical professional looking to oversee a landmark development in the heart of London? My Client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a prestigious Development in Central London. In this role, you will take full ownership of on-site mechanical operations, driving excellence in safety, quality, and efficiency. You will be the pivot point between project planning and boots-on-the-ground execution, ensuring our high standards are met at every stage of the build. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Safety Leadership: Assume total leadership regarding site safety; implement the site safety plan, enforce rules, and lead by example to ensure an injury-free environment. Team Management: Supervise on-site personnel and manage labor resources to ensure maximum productivity. Operational Excellence: Support the Project Manager in planning labor and material resources, utilizing purchasing systems for cost-effective procurement. Quality Control: Inspect all materials prior to installation to ensure they comply with project specifications and are fit for use. Development: Manage and train apprentices, ensuring all employees have the necessary expertise and training to perform their roles. Resource Management: Oversee plant maintenance and security, ensuring all hired plant is off-hired immediately after use to reduce costs. Reporting: Maintain site discipline, complete accurate timesheets, and assist in the final handover of systems to the client. What They Are Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal leadership skills. Qualifications: Formal Mechanical qualifications are essential. Experience: Proven track record in a similar Construction Management role within the mechanical sector. HSE Knowledge: Deep understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems. Leadership: Ability to identify team strengths and weaknesses to optimize performance on-site.
