Senior Planner – Commercial Fit-Out

Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £120,000 + package
Working pattern: Flexible/hybrid – two days per week in the office, with site visits when required

We are recruiting for a Senior Planner to join an established main contractor specialising in high-quality commercial and retail fit-out projects.

The business has a strong reputation within the industry and a projected turnover of approximately £125 million this year. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the planning and successful delivery of major fit-out schemes across London.

This role offers a great platform to progress quickly into a planning manager/head of planning role, and grow a team underneath you.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce and manage detailed tender and construction programmes
• Lead the planning process from pre-construction through to completion
• Work on two-stage traditional and design-and-build tenders
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays
• Produce progress reports, programme updates and recovery plans
• Work closely with project, commercial and design teams
• Review construction methods, sequencing and logistics
• Attend client, site and internal planning meetings
• Support bids and presentations during the tender process
• Ensure programmes accurately reflect procurement, design and delivery requirements

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience as a Senior Planner or experienced Planner
• Strong background in commercial fit-out, CAT-A and CAT-B
• Main-contractor experience
• Confident using Asta Powerproject or similar planning software
• Good understanding of design, procurement and construction sequencing
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Comfortable working across both tender and live-project stages
