Skilled Careers are recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Main Tier social housing contractor working on a large planned maintenance social housing contract throughout the West Midlands.

The Role:

Managing the commercial aspects of social housing and new build domestic projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled and value is protected throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

– Preparing cost estimates, budgets and valuations across social housing planned contracts

– Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts

– Monitoring project costs against budget and reporting to senior management

– Liaising with local authority client on commercial matters

– Supporting procurement and contract administration

What We're Looking For:

– Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) preferred

– Proven PQS experience within social housing or residential construction

– Strong commercial and negotiation skills

– Own transport essential

– Willing to work from the Birmingham office, with the option of Hybrid
