Quantity Surveyor – Planned Works

An established property services contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Site Surveyor to join their Planned Works team in the North West.
The role will be working on a current SHF Wave 3 Retrofit Scheme near Runcorn, providing an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or commercially focused Site Surveyor with social housing experience to take ownership of the commercial delivery of works on site. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard, working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a combination of site-based work, home working and time spent at the regional office in Oldham.
The Role
- Commercially managing planned works across social housing contracts.
- Managing cost control, valuations and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Producing and submitting monthly CVRs and progress reports.
- Managing procurement and subcontractors.
- Producing external valuations and cash flow forecasts.
- Working closely with Commercial Managers on budgets, profit plans and final accounts.
- Attending monthly client progress meetings, both virtually and in person.
- Building strong working relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with Health & Safety requirements and company processes.
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
About You
- A BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within social housing / housing association planned works.
- Experience of SHF retrofit works would be highly desirable.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, including cost control, valuations and cash flow.
- Experience managing projects and subcontractors on site.
- Strong Excel skills and good general IT knowledge.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
