Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We at Skilled Careers are currently partnering with an award-winning building services consultancy based in Central London. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on high-profile commercial and mixed-use developments across the capital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design process on complex commercial and mixed-use projects from concept through to detailed design.

• Produce sustainable and energy-efficient HVAC designs, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.

• Coordinate seamlessly with electrical and public health engineers, as well as external architects and contractors.

• Mentor and support the development of junior and intermediate engineers within the team.

• Attend client meetings, conduct site surveys, and manage project deliverables within set deadlines.

What You Need to Succeed:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years of UK-based consultancy experience, with a strong portfolio in commercial office fit-outs and mixed-use developments.

• Proficiency in Hevacomp, IES (desirable), and a solid understanding of Revit/BIM workflows.

• Chartered status (CEng) or actively working towards it.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
