About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join our growing team, delivering responsive repairs and planned maintenance within the social housing sector.

The successful candidate will carry out high-quality carpentry work while also completing a range of general maintenance tasks to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and ready for tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of first and second fix carpentry
  • Install, repair, and replace doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, locks, flooring, and other timber products
  • Complete multi-trade repairs including basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, painting, and minor decorating
  • Diagnose maintenance issues and carry out effective repairs on occupied and void properties
  • Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards
  • Accurately complete job reports using a mobile device

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs
  • Competent in a range of additional trades
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential with proven experience
