As a Carpenter, you'll be carrying out reactive and planned maintenance in occupied social housing properties. This is a permanent opportunity for a reliable Carpenter who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive and professional team.
The Role
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out day-to-day carpentry repairs and maintenance in social housing properties
- Repairing and fitting doors, frames, locks, skirting boards, kitchens, architraves, flooring, and other timber components
- Completing first and second fix carpentry work to a high standard
- Undertaking minor multi-trade tasks where required, including basic patch plastering, tiling, and decorating
- Working safely in occupied properties while providing excellent customer service
- Accurately recording completed work using a handheld device
- Ensuring all work meets company and industry standards
What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Carpenter, you'll need:
- Previous experience working as a Carpenter within the social housing or reactive maintenance sector
- A recognised carpentry qualification or proven time-served experience
- Strong knowledge of domestic repairs and maintenance
- Experience working in occupied properties
- A full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
