Contract Manager job in Dartford – overseeing façade and cladding projects across London and the South East, ensuring the successful delivery of external envelope works from pre-construction through to completion within a fast-paced construction environment.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to join a growing specialist contractor delivering high-quality façade and cladding projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

The role will focus on managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in client management, operational delivery, subcontractor coordination, and commercial performance across façade and cladding packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, managing project programmes, and ensuring compliance with all health & safety and building regulations requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the successful delivery of façade and cladding projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Overseeing multiple live sites across London and the South East
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and specialist installers to ensure efficient project delivery
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Monitoring programme performance and driving progress against key milestones and deadlines
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinating procurement, materials, labour, and subcontractor management across projects
• Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation, building regulations, and company procedures
• Managing project reporting, progress meetings, and operational documentation
• Supporting commercial teams with variations, valuations, cost control, and risk management
• Driving quality assurance and ensuring all façade and cladding installations meet technical specifications
• Supporting continuous improvement across operational delivery and project performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager within the façade, cladding, or external envelope sector
• Strong understanding of façade systems, cladding installation, and associated construction processes
• Experience managing multiple projects within construction or specialist subcontracting environments
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance within construction
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage programmes, budgets, and operational performance effectively
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, labour, and supply chain partners
• Strong organisational and communication skills within fast-paced project environments
• Full UK driving licence
