Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established and highly respected London-based main contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of prestigious construction projects across Central London.

The Role

Working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with cost management across live construction projects
• Preparation of valuations, cost reports and final accounts
• Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Assisting with tender analysis and subcontract package management
• Monitoring variations, change control and cost forecasting
• Liaising with site teams, consultants and subcontractors
• Ensuring commercial procedures are followed accurately

About You

• Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Experience working with a main contractor on UK construction projects (preferred)
• Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills
• Keen to develop a long-term career in construction commercial management
• Proactive, detail-focused and capable of working within a collaborative team
