Job Title: Buyer
Location: Norfolk
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum plus package

About the Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing house builder in Norfolk who is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in the procurement of materials and subcontract services across multiple residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract services in line with project requirements and budgets
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value without compromising quality
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks
• Work closely with Commercial, Technical, and Site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Prepare and issue enquiries, analyse quotations, and make recommendations
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations

About You

• Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within the house building or construction sector
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good understanding of construction materials and supply chain processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
