The Role

They are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join the project team on a large-scale data centre development currently under construction in West London.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the design process from coordination through to construction, ensuring all technical information is delivered accurately, on programme, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the design process throughout project delivery

• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams

• Reviewing and managing design information to ensure buildability and compliance

• Monitoring the design programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved

• Managing technical queries and design changes during construction

• Supporting procurement of specialist subcontract packages

• Ensuring design solutions meet client, regulatory, and project requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Design Manager for a main contractor or specialist contractor

• Experience working on data centre projects, or projects involving significant steel frame and façade packages

• Strong understanding of construction design processes and technical coordination

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across consultants and subcontractors

• Experience delivering complex projects during construction phases

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
