Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record in delivering industrial developments? Do you want to take commercial ownership of a high-profile new build scheme in Surrey?

We’re working with a well-established and growing main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects across the South East. Due to the award of a new scheme in Weybridge, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on site.

The Project

A new build industrial development comprising multiple high-spec industrial units alongside associated infrastructure works, including a dedicated car park and external works package. This is a key project within the company’s expanding industrial portfolio.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the full commercial lifecycle of the project, from procurement through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of the new build industrial scheme

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

• Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and variations

• Cost reporting, forecasting, and CVR management

• Contract administration (JCT)

• Risk management and value engineering

• Managing client relationships and leading commercial meetings

• Mentoring junior members of the commercial team

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor

• Strong background delivering new build industrial projects

• Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts

• Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience

• Able to manage projects autonomously and drive commercial performance
