Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in reinforced concrete frame projects? Do you thrive in a site-based role where you can take full commercial ownership of a major scheme?

We’re representing a well-established Tier 2 main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex residential and mixed-use developments across London. Due to the award of a substantial new build RC frame project in Hackney, they are looking to appoint a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the scheme on site.

The Project

A large-scale new build development featuring a substantial reinforced concrete frame, delivering high-quality residential units with associated infrastructure and external works. This is a flagship project requiring strong commercial leadership from day one.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial performance of the project from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of a large RC frame new build project

• Procurement and management of subcontract packages (including concrete frame, groundworks, and externals)

• Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and variations

• Cost reporting, forecasting, and CVR management

• Contract administration (JCT)

• Risk management and value engineering

• Leading and mentoring junior commercial staff

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with client and supply chain

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor

• Strong track record delivering RC frame projects in London

• Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts

• Confident managing projects independently on site

• Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
