Disrepair Surveyor (Temp to Perm)  

We’re seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to support a values-driven organisation focused on safe, compliant homes and positive outcomes for residents.

This is a hands-on, temp-to-perm role for a social housing surveyor who can confidently manage legal disrepair cases end to end, working closely with residents, solicitors, expert witnesses, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage legal disrepair cases from inspection through to completion

• Inspect properties, identify defects, and agree scopes of work

• Produce clear technical reports, schedules, specifications, and costings

• Liaise with legal teams, residents, and external partners

• Monitor contractors to ensure quality, compliance, and deadlines

About you

• Proven experience in social housing surveying (legal disrepair preferred)

• Confident managing risk and working with legal teams

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proactive, solutions-focused, and technically strong
