Legal Disrepair Surveyor

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Disrepair Surveyor to join a values-driven organisation focused on improving homes and protecting residents.

This is a hands-on role for a surveyor with social housing experience who can manage legal disrepair cases end-to-end, working closely with residents, solicitors, expert witnesses, and contractors to deliver compliant, timely outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing legal disrepair cases from inspection through to completion

• Inspecting properties, identifying defects, and agreeing scopes of work

• Producing technical reports, schedules of work, specifications, and costings

• Liaising with legal teams, residents, and external stakeholders

• Monitoring contractors to ensure works meet legal, contractual, and quality standards

About you:

• Experience in social housing surveying, ideally with legal disrepair exposure

• Confident working with legal teams and managing risk

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proactive, solutions-focused, with strong technical reporting skills
