About the Opportunity

Our client is a dynamic and award-winning engineering consultancy specialising in civil and structural design across complex infrastructure programmes supporting the UK’s energy transition and transport networks. You’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering technically rigorous and sustainable engineering solutions — from feasibility and tender support through to detailed design and construction assurance.

Projects may include substations, power networks, electrification schemes, bridges, retaining structures, cable routes and temporary works packages. Join a business recognised for its agility, experience and commitment to engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

? Undertake and coordinate civil and structural engineering design across infrastructure programmes
? Prepare technical calculations, drawings and specifications to Eurocodes and relevant standards
? Provide design assurance, quality reviews and risk assessments throughout project stages
? Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams and clients
? Support construction-phase queries and on-site reviews as required
? Contribute to innovation, sustainability and best practice in design delivery

What We’re Looking For

?? Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng)
?? Experience in civil/structural design within a consultancy environment
?? Strong technical ability with knowledge of UK design codes and standards
?? Proficiency with structural and analysis software (e.g., Robot, Tekla TEDDS, AutoCAD/BIM tools)
?? Excellent communicator and team player with a proactive mindset
?? Chartered status or working towards ICE/IStructE chartership desirable
