The Project

We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to support delivery of a large multi-phase traditional housing development on the outskirts of Lincoln. The scheme consists of a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes delivered via traditional brick & block construction.

The client is a national housebuilder (name withheld at this stage).

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of a live housing site

• Managing subcontractors and trades on plot build programmes

• Ensuring build quality meets NHBC standards and company QA procedures

• Driving health & safety on site (RAMS, inductions, site audits)

• Coordinating materials, labour and plant to maintain programme

• Plot inspections and sign-off at key stages

• Liaison with technical, commercial and customer care teams

• Supporting CML stages, completions and handovers

Required Experience

• Proven track record as a Site Manager on volume housing developments

• Strong knowledge of traditional housebuilding processes from foundations to handover

• Experience managing multiple plots at varying build stages

• Comfortable working to tight build programmes and quality targets

• Good subcontractor management and sequencing skills

Certifications

• SMSTS

• CSCS (Black/White card)

• First Aid at Work

• Scaffold inspection (preferred)
