About the Role
We are working with a prestigious luxury residence located in the heart of Kensington, renowned for exceptional service and world-class living standards. They are now seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the ongoing delivery of a first-class maintenance service across our property.
Working closely with the Chief Engineer, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will help oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, manage a skilled engineering team and ensure the building is maintained to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Chief Engineer with the daily operation of all maintenance and engineering activities

Supervise, lead and motivate a team of engineers and assistants

Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond effectively to reactive issues

Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical and building systems

Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and statutory requirements

Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation

Coordinate and manage external contractors and specialist suppliers

Uphold exceptional standards of presentation, service and professionalism throughout the residence
About You

Proven supervisory experience within a luxury residential, 5-star hospitality or premium environment

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS and plumbing

Relevant technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)

Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills

A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail

Ability to lead by example and inspire a high-performing team
