Salary: £85,000 – £105,000 + Car Allowance, Pension, Healthcare
My client are a well-established Regional Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across the region. They are seeking an experienced Senior Design/Technical Manager to lead technical and design coordination on residential projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery.
Role Overview
As a Senior Design/Technical Manager, you will take ownership of the technical design process from pre-construction through to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to deliver exceptional residential developments.
Key Responsibilities

Design Management:
- Oversee and coordinate all design aspects of residential projects from planning through to handover.
- Ensure designs meet planning, building regulations, and warranty provider requirements.

Technical Leadership:
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide guidance and support to design teams and junior technical staff.

Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to NHBC standards, Building Safety Act requirements, and company policies.
- Implement robust quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Delivery:
- Monitor technical progress against programme and budget.
- Support site teams with technical queries and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager or Senior Technical Manager within a residential developer or contractor.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and warranty standards.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
