Mears Group has been awarded a new four-year contract with Islington Council to manage the planned maintenance of council homes in the borough.
The deal, which includes a a possible extension of a further six years, and is valued at circa £12 million per annum, will see Mears continue to deliver cyclical repairs, preventative maintenance & improvements in energy efficiency and fire protection works for the council in the East of the borough.
The new contract award reflects the “excellence in service delivery, low complaints and effective budget control” that Mears has made in delivering repairs and maintenance to approx. 15,000 council homes over the last decade.
