Electrical Design Manager
A well respected M&E Contractor with a turnover of £30m who deliver across the residential, commercial and fit out sectors for leading Main Contractors require an electrical design manager to join their business based from a head office near Liverpool Street.
To work across Pre-construction and Operations team from tender stage as well as on live schemes to identify opportunities on projects as well as de-risking operational schemes • Ensure a Safety first culture • Work with all Integral customers to safely provide a quality service to throughout South East region building long term relationships and growing Integral Building Services. • Enhance the reputation of Integral projects business to ensure repeat business and growth • Support the rest of the team from a technical stand point • Deliver projects to programme and commercial targets as set by senior management team Ensure high quality of installation by sub-contract partners to deliver on time, first time and achieve ‘engineering excellence' on every project • To lead the project team to deliver the company's “management expectations” successfully across all key areas of the project, identifying efficiencies, risk or opportunities, working with our operations and pre-con teams • Attend interviews and client meetings • Ensure Integral forms and processes followed in line with main contractors documentation • To identify and develop profitable opportunities through the procurement opportunity prior to the project commencing. Increase the profitability of the project through Procurement and VE opportunities. • To enhance the strength of Integral M&E / Building Services contract delivery to ensure highest standards of quality are maintained in accordance with programme delivery • Build relations with client PM and delivery team Ensure compliance to all Integral UK policies , BS, EN, HTM , HBN regulations for our projects • Drive a safety first culture on site through dialogue, support of H&S team on inspections and challenged any non-conformance by operatives • To deliver efficiencies in financial targets through value engineering, this will include engaging supply chain with the aid of the Pre-con, Operations Manager and commercial teams. • Deliver project in line with the contract and target construction programme • To work closely with pre-construction and operations team to identify optimum solution for project delivery from technical and commercial perspective • To lead, motivate and develop the site based team. • To lead the relevant site based project team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards. • To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards and codes of practice. • To manage the provision of technical support to the contract. • To obtain and support the training for the site team. • Manage tech sub process during pre-construction in accordance with IRS / DRS and project engineers • Drive our sub-contract design team to achieve a compliant design for each project in line with deliverables schedule from client •
