Recruitment Consultant (Apprentice) – London – Skilled Careers

Skilled Careers is one of the UK’s leading recruitment consultancies for construction, engineering and property. We are seeking an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant to join our rapidly growing team in our London office. Recruitment is a fast-paced role that requires a certain skill set and characteristics to be successful in the industry. We break the mould of sluggish and risky recruitment, building our values on pro-activity, promptness and client support. The role is focussed on candidate generation and management whilst working with our Senior Recruitment Consultants across the company.

The position is to join our growing Trades and Labour divisional. Our team has won team of the year in 2019 and 2020 and is seeking an additional winner to come and join growing department. Within our Trades and Labour department you will be responsible for search for, Labourers, Handypersons, Electrician, Carpenters, Painters, Forklift Drivers and Traffic Marshall to name but a few. You will be supplying into some of the London’s the South East top tier main contractors and residential developers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proactively search, attract, and shortlist candidates using all necessary tools available including online job boards.
  • Write, place and update job adverts and monitor & process applications and responses efficiently
  • Initiate and manage candidate relationships, predominantly over the telephone, understanding their requirements and needs
  • Determine suitability and qualify candidates by adopting an efficient and effective screening process
  • Work towards set targets, deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintenance of various databases including adding new candidates and CV entry
  • Other general and administration duties as required
  • Collect Compliance & RTW documents
  • Manage incoming calls
  • Make outbound calls to existing database
  •

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office, Internet and Email
  • Minimum English GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above.

Salary & Benefits

  • Monday to Friday 8.00/8.30 – 5.30 (Flexible)
  • Salary – £12,000 p/a
  • Holiday – 20 days + bank holidays
