Aim:    To provide a quality, proactive service, working within the Contract Specification to deliver a professional product which meets and where possible exceeds the client’s expectations.

 

Key Objectives  

Effective management and completion of your fixed maintenance runs.

Maintenance of plant displays to the required standard informing team leader of any issues.

Effective communication with team leader, clients and other technicians.

Effective implementation of all Company policies and procedures.

To assist with new installs, removals and Christmas workload.

To cover other technicians work when required.

Source and develop business opportunities from existing customer base and new opportunities via submitting leads.

To use the Pronto system at all times to record work activity.

To maintain your company vehicle and all equipment issued in a clean and safe way.

 

General Duties and Responsibilities

 

Customer Care:  

To create a positive impression with our clients, understand what is important to them, and work to exceed their expectations, presenting a polite and responsible attitude at all times.

 

Customer Contact:

To communicate with clients politely and professionally and accurately report customer comments to directors and other managers. To develop a partnership-style working relationship with your clients, which is both non-adversarial and effective.

 

Company Promotion:

To understand what services our company can offer, promote the company wherever possible and feed back potential leads from sites, local press and observations.

 

Corporate Image:

To always present yourself in a professional manor and ensure your vehicle is clean, tidy and free from defect.

Financial

 

Cost Control:

To manage your rounds effectively advising of any changes or alterations that may be required to ensure maximum efficiency. Reduce plant replacements by effective maintenance programme..

Care of  Equipment:

To ensure your vehicle and all equipment issued is kept and maintained in a clean and safe way. Ensure that regular routine maintenance and daily checks are undertaken, keeping accurate and detailed records, as stated in company policies. 

 

Productivity:

To utilise best, most economic and effective work practices.  To take responsibility as part of the team for delivering a quality service.  To demonstrate initiative by identifying improvements to work practices which may result in increased productivity.

 

Security:

To show a rigorous concern for the security of company buildings, vehicles, machinery and materials.

Personal Effectiveness:

To act in a professional and confident manner, to accept responsibility, to work effectively to achieve results. To plan and organise your own time efficiently and to respond positively when under pressure and when confronted with problems.

 

Communication:

To communicate effectively, to keep your team leader, supervisor and managers informed and to listen and ask questions to ensure understanding.  To write accurate reports when requested.

 

Planning and Organisation:

To be efficient and organised, working to company systems, eg timesheets, works control ticksheets, rotas, absence request forms, etc to ensure that contractual performance obligations are met.

 

Health & Safety

To read, understand and work to the company’s Health & Safety Policy. Methods. Always use correct PPE. Report accidents and near misses.  To report any potential health & safety issues to your Regional Manager.

 

Work Attendance:

To be reliable in your attendance at work and to follow company rules and procedures if absent from work for any reason.

 

Company Systems:

To be efficient and organised, working to company systems: e.g. job sheets, quality completion sheets and time sheets and Pronto.

 

Development

 

Performance Appraisals:

To make good use of the opportunity to discuss your work performance and to take an active part in planning developmental changes and improvements as appropriate.

 

Training:

To identify with your line-manager any potential skills-gaps in relation to your work tasks and to embrace training opportunities where relevant via the Company’s training programme.

 

Innovation:

To explore and identify opportunities and suggest alternative, better, more effective ways of doing things. 

 

 

Key requirements.

 

Driving licence – Full.

Customer focused.

Punctuality – early starts.

Previous experience in industry helpful but not essential.

Ability to work independently.
