Assistant CAD Technician
Engineering Consultancy in Kingston is seeking a junior technician to join their team.
They aren’t necessarily needing anyone with practical experience- but they need to have an understanding of basic engineering practices, and a strong familiarity with AutoCAD.
Although most of their work is on AutoCAD, they have been doing more with Revit over the last year or two.
Offering have will offer working flexibility to staff – depending on level, and their ability to work at home with little to no supervision. To put into perspective, the more senior members of staff only need to be in the office one day a week.
You will be working on building structures projects as technician then progressed to engineer level. There is an excellent mentorship and training schemes in place for the right candidate.
They are proven to be able to support their employees through Chartership and can provide a good mixture of project exposure (more so than the ‘usual’ local Engineering consultancy).
Now, they currently have a mix of 70% residential projects, and 30% as ‘other’ (often healthcare and larger residential tower blocks). They project that within a year, this mix of work is likely to be nearer a 50/50 split.
